CHRIS DUFFY
Chris has over 30 years HR experience in the Australian Public Service including over 15 years at Executive and acting SES level. His experience covers all areas of HR including workplace relations where he represented the APS in negotiations with peak unions and the ACTU on a number of APS wide conditions of service issues.

At the operational level Chris has managed the amalgamation of HR areas from multiple departments, set up the HR function for newly created departments and managed the selection and implementation of payroll/HR systems. He has provided advice to senior management on all aspects of HR and has extensive experience with Code of Conduct and staff performance issues.

Chris made a significant contribution to the development, drafting and implementation of the Parliamentary Service Act 1999. He has negotiated and drafted industrial awards and agreements, developed HR related policies and Public Service Determinations. Chris has also presented cases to the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.

In addition to his HR background Chris has experience in managing security services, broadcasting services and Project/Program management services.

Chris has had wide ranging human resource, industrial and corporate management experience and is available to undertake consultancies in the following areas:

Development of human resource management and related policies and guidelines;

Strategic advice on the effective role of workplace relations in large, complex organizations;

Advice on and drafting of Collective Agreements, Determinations and common law contracts;

Assisting with complex selection exercises as a panel member and/or advisor; and,

Investigation of suspected breaches of the code of conduct and other complex HR matters;
